Heat and surface treatments


In the surface treatment plant chemical and electro-chemical treatments like chemical conversion coating, chromic acid anodizing, boric acid – sulfuric acid anodizing and chemical milling of aluminum alloy parts are performed.

The chemical milling of aluminium alloys is a process where the component surface is removed by liquid etchant immersion bath.

The chemical milling plant consists of 4 tanks: a chemical milling tank, a spray rinsing tank, a desmutting tank and an immersion rinsing tank.

The dimensions of all tanks are 7000 mm (length) x 1200 mm (width) x 2500 mm (hight).

The painting is performed in an area of the surface treatment plant comprising a spray booth (with control of relative humidity and air temperature), a drying chamber and a drying oven with forced air circulation. Different types of paint are applied according to the requirements of customer specifications.

The protective passivation treatment preceded by an operation of sandblasting can be executed on steel parts.

In the plant non-destructive testing is also performed. Liquid Penetrant inspection of aluminum alloy parts is performed to detect surface defects. This process is carried out by 2nd level certified personnel.

All special processes have NADCAP certification and are performed by skilled and qualified personnel.

A chemical laboratory is equipped to conduct chemical analysis and process tests (including salt spray tests).

The heat treatment plant consists of furnaces to treat aluminum alloys and steel alloys.

Solution heat treatment, quenching, aging and annealing are performed on aluminum alloys while precipitation hardening is performed on corrosion resistant steel alloys.

Heat treatment processes are NADCAP certified and are carried out by skilled and qualified personnel.
