In 2009 LAER added to the Group the Acerra composite facility. The entire plant - 2000 sm plus a covered area out of 6000 sm - is dedicated to composite manufacturing and both conventional process and out of autoclave methods are implemented.

In the plant in Acerra there are highly skilled and motivated resources.

The conventional production flow is implemented by the listed capabilities (shown in the pictures below).

Large sandwich panels and laminates structures in Glass and/or Kevlar reinforced plastic are produced for ATR 42/72 and C27J programs, according to Client specification. Whereas, Carbon Reinforced Plastic are manufactured and inspected following the aeronautical method and according to LAER internal procedures or private clients requirements.

The main customers for which LAER produces composite parts are: PSI (Italian Special Projects), CIRA, K4A, LEONARDO, Piaggio Aerospace.
